The Final Moments and the Hurdle!

Here we are people, the final phase of our impending rebirth of the nation free from the grasp of (mis)leaders who have blindfolded the people and led them through a divisive path that has now reached a chronic stage.

A nation once united at independence half a century ago, dismantled and to our dismay made to believe all the cosmetic development and celebrations we had all these years were a sign of unity whereas in reality there is a strong undercurrent of divisive forces at work.

All these hatred seeds planted through various policies and preferential treatment with no bounds is now surfacing in the most illicit way possible.

The intention was good, the implementation however was hijacked to favor the selected few who have used these privileges extensively to enrich themselves.

Now, we are at the crossroads, to seek and to rectify what we have done wrong, where we have gone wrong, the policies, the mind set and the education system that contributed to this scenario.

Will it happen peacefully and with a realization by all Malaysians that the change indeed will be a blessing and not a curse?

That is something we have to pray and hope will be at the discretion of the leaders of change to convince and proceed with caution so as not to upset the balance.

People are always not susceptible to change, moreover if the change gives them the impression that they are on the losing side.

This I believe is what is currently hampering the efforts by the leaders of change in bringing about the much anticipated change to happen.

This is clearly portrayed by some misled students whom protested against an idea that was meant to enrich their experience to the extent they behave as though their entire life and that of the community they belong to was at stake. Some even went to the extent of declaring it as the final barrier to PROTECT their survival.

Is that justified? is that the future that will ensure your survival? Please take a moment to ponder on that thought?

We are now at the brinks of the moment where a definite change is in sight. We hope to undo all the damages of the misleading policies, education system, implementation and misappropriation of the numerous resources this nation has to offer.

So let's embrace the changes that is forthcoming in two weeks or so with an open heart and open mind.

I would say that is the best option we have available to return our nation back to glory in its true sense.

The days are numbered!

So here we go, the final countdown begins, after much speculation, the showdown will happen in Permatang Pauh, to mark the return of the leader whom I hope will set the track and pace right for us Malaysians to bring us towards glory and nothing less than that.

Despite all the attempts by those in power now, they have stood up in strength to show they are not going to be pushed over and let the dilemma of 1998 repeat once again!

I am not sure about the allegations of his aide on sodomy accusation, but it doesn't matter at this juncture, I am confident over time the truth about this will be revealed.

Whats matter most now is that, BN despite all the LESSONS they should have learnt after 080308 still live in denial and continue to strain the rakyat in all possible terms.

We need them to go off for good ,and we need a leader who is capable of guiding us in the right direction.

DSAI fits this requirement. So all support for him and his team's effort to get rid of BN.

We are waiting anxiously for 916 to happen! Let us hope it will be a victory celebration on gaining independence of Malaysia from BN!

It's Now or Never! DSAI

I believe most of us are aware now, the high possibility of a definite change of government of Malaysia.

From what DSAI has openly declared, this changes may happen within the next few months.

I sincerely hope the crossovers that he constantly cites are people with real calibre and doing it in the interest of the nation and not personal gain.

If it is the latter, high chances are that his plan may backfire as these people may opt to accept better offer from BN itself that I would say will be willing to do so at whatever cost.

What worries me is the consequences.

How this change would affect our lives, I am confident it would be better but just that I have this doubt that such a change cannot be achieved in normal circumstances given the track record of BN making hoo haa of any given scenarios involving the "government in waiting".

Some characters in there may resort to being hostile just to prevent from such thing taking place.

My hope for DSAI is, now that it is out in the open, please proceed with caution and only take concrete steps ahead if you are 101% sure ,these crossovers are dependable and worthy of the rakyat's support.

And do take care of your security.

In that sense, DTA (Don't trust anyone) should be the mode of operation from now on.

We the rakyat should also scrutinise every steps taken by either party.

We can't afford to be careless anymore, we need a strong government to weather the increasing constraints and challenges that we now face!

So DSAI, I hope you have done the homework and not merely trying your luck!

Since it is out in the open, it is now or never!

Do it, and do it with caution and in the best interest of the nation.

True Malaysian on Trial!

This is indeed a sad day for all of us whom respect and adore RPK, a true Malaysian with a heart of steel and is willing to stand up for all of us through his articles and many many revelations made through them.

It is a clear cut attempt to undermine the freedom of a true patriot in defending the nation from unscrupulous, self centered politicians who have no shame in misusing government machineries and agencies to fulfill their desires.

If not the court of law, someday, they shall answer their maker.

For those of you who would like to help, please proceed to http://www.malaysia-today.net/ and follow the procedures therein to support RPK.

He has now denied paying the bail set at RM5000.00 and on his way to Sungai Buloh Prison, all for us Malaysians.

The trial is set to some time in October!!!

I hope true Malaysians out there will answer this call for justice to prevail and to show the government of the day that they have messed up once again to uphold justice and freedom for our beloved nation!

Pakatan Rakyat and God Fearing BN MPs and AssemblyPerson , please voice out our concern in Parliament and we the rakyat will voice out for justice louder than ever in our blogs!

Parliament In Session - Or is it the circus is in town?

After a long anticipation on the start of Parliament session with stronger opposition.
It all turned out to be a well , simply put a FALSE START!

Disappointing indeed, we expected grown ups to be there and we were hoping they will spend more time discussing our issues, our food and grain matter, but what do we have.......

The same old, "Peraturan Mesyuarat" with the presence of an ever lopsided Speaker and name calling which will make children feel they are in a circus of some sort.

Monkey and Bigfoot????

What is this , some kind of special appearance!

Please , we have no time to waste on trivial issues, get on with it, face the real problems.

And the Dewan Speaker, please for God sake have a fair judgement!

All this in the name of the oath you people have taken to represent us the rakyat!

If this goes on, I am afraid, Malaysia will be going down hill, further than ever before.

PR MPs, we want you to voice out issues, not dissatisfaction over procedures in Parliament!

Sad, very sad indeed, I was really hoping for a change in the approach.

Working for or Working Against Rakyat?

Despite the diminishing support, AAB the 5th PM of Malaysia in waiting for the 6th PM to take over sooner or later, has requested for his party members to get to work!

This is interesting, and to us rakyat, the question should be, work for the rakyat or against the rakyat?

Looks like most measures taken by the respective Ministers especially in matters pertaining to the 5 states under PR is going against people!

So the PM has to set the things right, get to work... define work in the right context.

Ask the Ministers to get their priorities right.

From Finance, to Tourism to so called Rural Minister (aka Jaguh Kampung!), all seem to have their agenda of denying the people what is rightfully theirs, not to mention, the monetary wastage that comes with it!

Why is there a need for duplicated effort?

Ketua Kampung - State level + JKKK - Federal level

Tourism - in Penang? why two levels as well?

Don't you people have REAL , IMPORTANT issues to handle?

So 5th PM , get the message across to your cabinet first and then worry about your party members.

I am sure most of you sense this as well, can we the rakyat do anything, legally????

The New Government - New Hope?

The past 1 week , we have a strong announcement being made by the de facto leader of Pakatan Rakyat, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim on their preparedness to form the new government.

Despite this, BN continues to deny or live in denial state on such possibility happening and seem to confidently brush aside that notion.

So who has the right view of what is in store for the rakyat?

For DSAI,

Is this confidence supported by the fact that these BN crossovers are credible and will be accepted by rakyat?

Is this action supported by those who voted for Pakatan Rakyat wholeheartedly?

Is it approved or condoned by all top leaders of Pakatan Rakyat from the different parties?

Are these crossovers really going to strengthen Pakatan Rakyat in serving the rakyat fairly and without carrying over the bad traits they would have as BN representatives?

If the answer to above is astounding yes,

Is the timing right? , is this the best time to form the new Government?

For BN,

Haven't you learn't a damn thing from the message rakyat sent you via votes?

Do you think cosmetic changes as reforms will gain rakyats support?

Is your stand on BN reps should not serve rakyat under PR rule justified?

This so called BN Spirit, is it REALLY necessary?

and finally

Are you still relevant to us rakyat?

I hope all parties concerned will ponder and ask themselves these questions. We are looking at astronomical change to our political scene and governance of the nation.

Are we ready for it?

I for once would like to see changes once and for all for better Malaysia for all Malaysians.

My only worry is the manner in which it should be done!

but you were out there against the tyranny of the not so Royal Malaysian Police and FRU to fight for my rights as well

Do I know you,maybe not

but you joined hands with me in fighting against the malpractices that happened in our election processes forming the yellow wave

Do I know you, maybe not

but you were there in the polling stations doing what is right for our future together

Do I know you, maybe not

but we are together in wishing that we break free from the barrier of race and religion and unite as Malaysians

Do I know you, maybe not

but I shall protect you from any harm that may come from the outside or from fellow misguided Malaysians

Do I know you, maybe not

but you will remain as my family simply because you are Malaysian!

Malay Rights or Malaysian Rights?

Ever since the 12th GE was over, it seems like Malaysians have become obsessed with this issue of rights and the possibility of a certain race being neglected in preference to the other.

Now I am quite perplexed by this notion of having the perception that choosing a lawmaker of a different race is going to affect rights of the other.

Why is it still impossible after 50 years of nationhood for us to see past race?

Thanks to some overzealous politicians and people with self interest, they are turning it into an ugly scene.

Starting with this racial comments given by TV3 guest on the night of 080308 itself. Perhaps some of you have seen it as well, this guy went on to talk about how Malays have LOST to Chinese and how Chinese will neglect the Malays etc etc.

This was then echoed after Lim Guan Eng made hasty announcement about NEP and how it will be implemented in Penang, people with self interest were there as well, mind you, the rest of the sane people went on with their daily lives.

This continued on with appointment of MBs and why it MUST be a Malay and then the Pig farm issues etc etc.

Seems like a never ending story. To make it worse, the ailing political party seems to be more concerned about save guarding Ketuanan Melayu rather than Ketuanan Rakyat!

Same goes for other community too, one DAP guy try to quit just because his PEOPLE was not given more positions!

While most royal members were happy with the outcome of the election, one comes out to taint their reputation by vocally voicing out the need for Malays to defend their rights against OTHERS and how OTHERS do not have the rights to stand up for their rights as enshrined in the constituition.

Since when the rights of the single community becomes more important than more pressing issues like high inflation , rising petrol price, judicial problem, global warming etc?

I just can't stand this approach anymore! It is nauseating.

We have possible economic crisis looming, and here we have politicians banging tables about a single community's rights! All pointing fingers without possible solution.

The latest stance by UMNO to talk about Malay Rights with so called Malay parties PKR and PAS is making this even more unbearable. Why can't it be, BN meets Pakatan Rakyat to talk about Malaysian's rights.

Why is it still an illusion, leaders , you are the ones to decide which way we go, it is only you who has the rights to decide the future of Malaysians as a whole.

So don't fail us by reverting back to religious and race based separation.

We need a unified Malaysia, the people will be ready for it if only policies and programmes are put in place by the leaders. You must believe in it wholeheartedly first!

So are you a believer? do you feel Malaysian rights are more important than Malay rights?

Business As Usual!

Well I guess it is business as usual for our leaders of the nation, who are back to their usual self of dismantling what is left of our dignity and pride as an independent nation by their actions and reactions to one another which in most ways lead to more damage than good.

This is evident in their attempt now to yet again discredit the opposition leaders and their decisions via MSM, using police and now even through blogs.

Furthermore they are using the same tactics once again of claiming they participated in illegal rally and using police to simply harass them and prevent them from carrying out their own responsibilities.

Apart from this, the refusal of approving renewal of license for Makkal Osai, the Tamil daily that truly represents the views of the people and matters of importance to them. The decision was not explained and believed to be due to the perception that they were leaning towards opposition.

Add that to the pig farm issue, the refusal of medical treatment for ISA detainee and Tengku Faris seditious speech that goes unnoticed by these leaders.

Now does this show, that the ruling but ailing party has learnt anything valuable from the message delivered by the people on 080308?

I am afraid not, they have not learnt a damn thing!

Resistance to Change!

Change, as we know it is the only constant event that occurs in this universe, as such change is inevitable in every aspects of our life.

However, being humans we become complacent with the environment and routine that we have to an extent dislike changes.

Recently a major change happened in Malaysia, and people are still in daze on how to go about reacting to these changes.

Changes that signal a dawn of new era in the political scenes.

Many different facets of the same event that means different things to different people.

This change that spells defeat to the ruling party.

This change that brings victory to the people.

This change that would change our lifes forever.

So let's change our mindset to change our future........

A New Hope versus A New Threat!

As we know today marks the end of the political ban for Anwar Ibrahim who is hailed as the de facto leader of PKR and now the Pakatan Rakyat as well. This brings about a lot of hope and we as Malaysians would like to see this as a beginning of a new era of politics in Malaysia in which a two party system may actually be established and the rakyat will have a choice of choosing either one to lead them , similar to how the Democrats and Republicans functions in the USA.

The reality of this being achieved is in a sense still in progress, and yet there are some minor differences that may need to be ironed out, especially when you have two parties with different ideologies glued together by a common party which accomodates both sides (PKR) , nevertheless there is a high possibility they will succeed in doing so, under the careful and strategised leadership of Anwar Ibrahim.

From what I see ,the Pakatan Rakyat will in fact become the next government of choice for as long that they stay true to their course of defending all Malaysians and protecting their rights.

On the other hand, we have an ailing Barisan Nasional which is trying its best to stay relevant and seem to use the MSM and all ways possible to divert the rakyat's attention away from its internal problems. The latest of such stunt is as published in Utusan Malaysia, on the speech delivered by Tengku Faris about Non-Malays shouldn't ask for their rights. The fact that it was a "prepared text" of 11 pages should give a clue to its possible origin.

Who is this Tengku Faris, what is his credentials, why is he all of a sudden emerging out to speak against Malaysians????

I have a strong feeling , the trace will lead back to yours truly, the ailing party in question.

I am quite positive that the message by Tengku Faris may appeal to only a handful and those who have yet to embrace the New Malaysia and fail to see beyond present time and may even live in the glory of the past.

Whatever may be, I hope there are more of us, true Malaysians who have accepted the new era and will defend each other in whatever circumstances to see that Malaysia succeeds for all Malaysians alike. Each and everyone of us Malaysians need to play our role to make this a reality.

Where are we headed?

Welcome, this is my first attempt in going live to the cyber world with my own article thanks to the inspiration given by RPK and other prominent bloggers from Malaysia who had influenced my viewpoint on Malaysia and its future.

We are now at the crossroads, a very crucial moment that would decide the future direction of our beloved nation.

A point at which a lot of uncertainties unfold and varying parties trying their best to keep their leadership intact to spearhead our nation for the next five years.

It is time for us ,the rakyat to realise the importance of this significant moment.

On one hand we have te ruling coalition party which for the first time lost 2/3 majority and is in the midst of dealing with leadership crisis and yet fails to see the true message related to them via the votes on 08/03/08.

On the other we have the new alliance with so much hope and aspiration to lead the nation in the near future and is seeking to achieve that much earlier by convincing some to switch camps.

The question now is, what is in store for the rakyat? and what is our expectation out of this power struggle.

Above it all, are they ready to lead us?

Both have their own share of shortcomings, some more prominent than the other , and now the rakyat is left at daze in trying to figure out what will happen.

I feel that we must make a stand on this matter, by not being emotional but by taking into consideration many factors that will make or break our future in our beloved nation.

The question now is , are we ready as Malaysians to accept such radical changes?

For 50 years the governance and leadership was overshadowed by importance given to racial and religious based policies and implementation of it that has set the people to believe this will ensure balanced progress for all Malaysians and to ensure the harmony is maintained all this years. For sometime this formula worked. And yet some leaders have taken this overboard which has caused so much dissatisfaction amongst us.

But what is going to be our solution to this?

Is the change of government the right answer in view of our condition now? Are we ready, are they ready?

Uncertainties which has yet to be answered.

I feel that we should not do things hastily and take a moment to review our decisions and see what will be the best thing to do as rakyat to safeguard our future together as Malaysians.

The formation of People's Alliance have given us a new hope , no doubt, and their decision to unite should be welcomed by all Malaysians with a clear state of mind.

However, I think they need more time to truly prepare themselves to lead the nation and not hastily bring in members without proper evaluation of their credentials which could backfire on them due to lost of trust from those who truly supported them.

I am not against them , I truly wish to see them succeed, but I wish they would take it slow not to cause sudden trauma to the rakyat that could upset the balance within the society.

I am sure no one had foreseen the unprecedented success in the election that they gained. What started of as an attempt to have better opposition in Parliament turned out to be a possible "Government in Waiting".

While we welcome them, I hope that the balance will be maintained and that they will continue to be a strong opposition for now while perfecting their skills at the respective state level.

This will strengthen their position and increase the confidence of the rakyat in accepting them wholeheartedly.

As for the coalition, I sincerely hope they will ditch the incompetent leaders and choose leaders with dignity and good sense of the people's wish to strengthen their position as either the government or the future opposition.

As rakyat, we shall wait and see the drama unfold, either one must remember, we are the main cast in this play.

God willing, the rakyat's hope and prayer will be answered soon.
